"Talking fast I make my deal
Buy the fake and sell what's real
"
(The Buggles 'Plastic Age')

"Tubular Bells 2" has excellent sound quality and arrangement. It just has an excellent production, which was made by Trevor Horn. This is how Mike remembers working together with Trevor: "[While recording] I always have an impression of being like 'vampires', each one takes ideas from another one and always there is someone that feels he is losing. With Trevor it has been different because he understood what I wanted to do and he has been like a mediator." (El Mundo, 1992)
    And another quote: "Trevor told me: 'Forget about techniques, that's my business, you just focus on the feeling, on the passion while playing'. He was able to make me aware that I was making some sort of 'angry music' as well." (El Hombre, 1992)

    Trevor Horn has a reputation of being able to catch the best features from every artist. At the same time he doesn't change the style of an artist by putting his own style into the music. And not only that. He's also got excellent feeling about people' taste. "Tubular Bells 2" is the best example. Almost everybody likes the album. Even fragments with heaviest guitar playing on the album do not annoy anybody's ears.

    Trevor Horn began his musical career as a vocalist and guitarist in The Buggles - a due with keyboard player Geoff Downes. Albums:

  • Age Of Plastic (1979) - with hit "Video Killed The Radio Star";
  • Adventures In Modern Recording (1982)

    Horn appeared on one Yes album, on which he took place of its lead vocalist Jon Anderson:

  • Drama (1980).

    After that he began producing music. Trevor Horn is told to be the first producer, who used recording studio as one of the instruments. He used computers and samples like no one before. He filled his page in the history of the pop music and also had a big commercial success. It's just enough to take a look at some of the albums that were produced by Trevor:

  • ABC "Lexicon Of Love" (1982);
  • Art Of Noise "(Who's Afraid Of) The Art of Noise" (1984);
  • Yes "90125" (1983) - with the hit "Owner Of The Lonely Hearts";
  • Frankie Goes To Hollywood "Welcome To The Pleasure Dome" (1984);
  • Grace Jones "Slave To The Rhythm" (1985);
  • Pet Shop Boys "Left To My On Devices" (1988);
  • Paul McCartney "Flowers In The Dirt" (1989);
  • Seal "Seal" (1991);
  • Tina Turner "Wildest Dreams" (1996);
  • Bryan Ferry "Dance With Life (Brilliant Light)" (1996).
